Job Description

The Business Development Executive will work in close association with the Communications and Strategy Team and assist in developing strategies for growth, exploring new business opportunities, and maintaining relations with existing clients. 

We are looking for someone who is interested in working with a young and growing social enterprise and is keen on contributing to its growth within the development/social sector.


  • Good knowledge of the development sector. Preferably, candidates with prior experience of working with CSRs. Interest in development sector/social sector research is crucial.

  • Being up-to-date with the CSR ecosystem.

  • Identifying opportunities for growth and diversification within the social impact space.

  • Closely working with the Founder and the Communications and Strategy team to:

    • Conduct stakeholder landscaping

    • Develop BD and CSR strategies 

    • Develop relevant collaterals 

  • Developing business proposals for existing and potential clients/partners.

  • Provide support to clients during initial phases of engagement and maintain business relations through necessary follow-ups.

  • Attending conferences, networking events, and representing the organization.


Qualifications

  • Qualification:


    • Relevant educational background preferably someone with a degree in Business Development, MBA, or Marketing. 

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Proficiency in MS tools.

    • Proficiency in English.

    • Previous work experience in the development sector, national and international NGOs would be an advantage.

    • Market knowledge.

    • Ability to build rapport.

    • Previous experience in Business Development/CSR foundations. 

    • Applicants from Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore would be preferred.

    • A minimum experience of 4-5 years in the relevant sector is required.

Job Description

Reporting and working closely with the team at Outline India, the engaging primarily in enforcing quantitative methodologies and implementing survey tools on digital platforms, training field teams, and ensuring field surveys are planned and implemented in a structured manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal

● Secondary research and sampling for proposals. ● Planning and budgeting for field surveys.

Fieldwork planning and execution

● Developing, coding, and deploying ● Review of survey tools received from clients and translation of the same. ● Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team. o Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork (on hold during covid19). o Training field team on the usage of CAPI on tablets (virtual during covid19). ● Coordination with the field team to ensure quality data checks.

Data checks and analysis

● Management and monitoring of datasets on a o Oversee daily data collection activities and ensure adherence to data quality protocols. ● Data cleaning. ● Quantitative analysis and visualization. ● Assist in writing reports. 


Qualifications

Essential


● Strong knowledge of quantitative methods of data collection and the ability to analyze data.

● Experience in working with STATA is mandatory.

   o Familiarity with Quantitative software packages (e.g. STATA/SPSS/Python/ R). ● Master's Degree in Economics or a related field. ● Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of any other regional language will be valuable). ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The qualitative researcher will closely work on research projects, developing study designs and survey instruments, conducting fieldwork, and writing reports. We are looking for someone who has experience in conducting interviews and focus group discussions and is willing to travel across the country for fieldwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Preparing research proposals (working on the method and sampling, both quantitative and qualitative for monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies).

● Secondary research for projects and proposals.

● Literature review, design, and pilot survey instruments and tools. Review of survey tools received from client and translation of the same.
