Education and Financial Literacy
Outline India undertook a study to determine the exposure to, and practice of financial literacy in children between 3-6 years of age.
Through in-depth interviews with 400 parent-child pairs, the evaluation proffered insight on parental knowledge, patterns of saving, attitudes and the practice of financial literacy in children across urban and rural India. Through this study, Outline India provided support for the client’s intervention to provide young children and their caregivers with fundamental skills and strategies that would aid in inculcating a culture of mindful financial practice, and enable financial empowerment.
