Responsibilities:

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into functional architecture and software designs to solve customers' use cases.
  • Sprint planning and efficient delivery of products as per timelines.
  • Drive technical excellence in architecture, design, and API definition for internal and external use, using the latest Web/UI technologies.
  • Lead implementation of engineering best practices, including Design and Code. Reviews, Unit Tests and identifies improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Involved with recruitment, mentor team members, and work with 3rd party solution providers.
  • Work with product management, designers, and fellow engineers on use cases, requirements, and new features.


Qualifications

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Between 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience with Kotlin
  • Bachelor, Masters, or higher in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Constraint Layout
  • Familiarity with Android Architecture Components such as LiveData, ViewModel, & Navigation Component
  • Reactive programming (RxJava or RxKotlin) experience
  • Practical experience in MVVM design pattern usage
  • Familiar with the concept of Dependency Injection
  • Ability to understand design, product flows and implementation of pixel perfect UIs compatible across multiple mobile form factors

Job Description

Reporting and working closely with the team at Outline India, the quantitative researcher will be engaging primarily in enforcing quantitative methodologies and implementing survey tools on digital platforms, training field teams, and ensuring field surveys are planned and implemented in a structured manner.

Proposal

  •      Secondary research and sampling for proposals.
  •      Planning and budgeting for field surveys.
  •      Prepare budget for the new contracts

Fieldwork planning and execution


  •      Developing, coding, and deploying survey tools using CAPI programs like Survey CTO.
  •      Review of survey tools received from clients and translation of the same.
  •      Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team.
  •     Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork (on hold during covid19).
  •     Training field team on the usage of CAPI on tablets (virtual during covid19).
  •      Coordination with the field team to ensure quality data checks.

 

Data checks and analysis


  •      Management and monitoring of datasets on a regular basis.
  •      Oversee daily data collection activities and ensure adherence to data quality protocols.
  •      Data cleaning.
  •      Quantitative analysis and visualization.
  •      Assist in writing reports.


Qualifications

Essential:

  •      Strong knowledge of quantitative methods of data collection and the ability to analyze data.
  •      Experience in working with STATA is mandatory.
  •       Familiarity with Quantitative software packages (e.g. STATA/SPSS/Python/ R).
  •      Master's Degree in Economics or a related field.
  •      Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of any other regional language will be valuable).
  •      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Desired:

  •      3+ years of experience in quantitative studies.

Outline India provides solutions for implementing high-quality, authentic field surveys across India. We have previously worked in 23 states for projects on WASH, education, health, gender, etc. By following a rigorous methodology with quality checks at each stage of the data collection process, the Field Manager is required to ensure accuracy and smooth completion of all data collection activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Fieldwork and field planning.
  • Project Coordination with field staff and research team about logistics, bill filings, and payments.
  • Checking and approving transcription/translation and coordinating with external vendors.
  • Draft research protocol documents and guidelines.
  • Drafting project invoices, EOIs, and proposals including formatting documents.
  • Assisting with data cleaning and analysis.
  • Work on field reports.
  • Conducting training for field enumerators and supervisors.
  • Guiding and supervising Field Associates and managing field teams across the country.

The Office Coordinator will work in close association with the Communications and Strategy Team and assist in developing strategies for growth, exploring new business opportunities, and maintaining relations with existing clients.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining salary sheets & must know how to calculate PF, ESI & TDS
  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination and administration. Coordinate with vendors, staff, and research team about logistics, and filings.
  • Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time. Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.

  • Keep track of all incoming payments, prepare invoices, maintain a payment tracker.

The qualitative researcher will closely work on research projects, developing study designs and survey instruments, conducting fieldwork, and writing reports. We are looking for someone who has experience in conducting interviews and focus group discussions and is willing to travel across the country for fieldwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing research proposals (working on the method and sampling, both quantitative and qualitative for monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies).
  • Secondary research for projects and proposals.
  • Literature review, design, and pilot survey instruments and tools. Review of survey tools received from client and translation of the same.
  • Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team.
  • Developing budgets for research projects.
