Aditi has completed her Masters in Geography and M.Phil in Population Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University and did B.Sc. Honours in Geography from Shri Shikshayatan College, University of Calcutta. Her schooling is from Calcutta Girls’ High School, Kolkata. 

She has submitted her PhD Thesis in Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2022 and has qualified UGC NET JRF/SRF in 2015.

She has participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, workshops and various training programs and has published articles on contraception, friendship groups and migration. She is also the recipient of ‘Vivekjyoti’ emerging researcher award in 2019. Her book, ‘Population, Fertility and Family Planning’ (Rawat Publications), is well acclaimed. Her research interests are on family planning, contraceptive use, fertility issues and gender studies.

Aditi's mother tongue is Bengali, but she's also proficient in English and Hindi. Her hometown is Howrah, WB.
