Outline India was the India partner of an international study across Malawi, Ecuador, Panama and Rwanda and India to evaluate the effects of interventions aimed at combating child labour through a randomized control trial.

Specifically, the analysis sought to understand ways of generating opportunities for a better standard of living among vulnerable children and adults and to develop insight into changes or outcomes that might be directly attributed to the client’s intervention. For the Baseline phase, focus group discussions and structured in-depth interviews were undertaken in over 4500 households across 40 treatment and control villages, among a range of stakeholders, including mica mining workers, children engaged in paid labour, teachers and others.
