Outline undertook the baseline data collection for Going to School’s (GTS) student entrepreneurship program in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. The study was conducted with middle and secondary school students using self-administrated questionnaires prepared and provided by GTS in the local dialect. The middle and secondary schools were spread across 16 districts in Bihar and 24 districts in Jharkhand.
Surveys were administered to students in grade 9 in Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan schools and Kasturba Gandhi Bharatiya Vidyalaya schools in Bihar, and students of grade 7 and 8 in Kasturba Gandhi Bharatiya Vidyalaya, Tribal Residential and Congregation schools in Jharkhand.
The study, a baseline evaluation of the outcomes of the client’s intervention to promote skill development in schools, was conducted across 40 districts and in 480 schools, reaching 36000 students in the span of two weeks.
