  • QUALITATIVE RESEARCHER

    JOB DESCRIPTION The Sr. Qualitative Researcher will closely work on research projects, developing study designs and survey instruments, conducting fieldwork, and writing reports. We are looking for someone who has experience in conducting interviews and focus group discussions and is willing to travel across the country for fieldwork.  
    RESPONSIBILITIES 
    Preparing research proposals (working on the method and sampling, both quantitative and qualitative for monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies).  
    Secondary research for projects and proposals. 
    Literature review, design, and pilot survey instruments and tools. Review of survey tools received from client and translation of the same. 
    Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team. 
    Developing budgets for research projects.  
    Field mapping, planning, training, and execution.  
    Traveling to the field to conduct training, fieldwork monitoring, interviews, focus group discussions,  etc. as required.  
    Collaborate and contribute to the company's new research projects/ ideas.  
    Qualitative data analysis and report writing.  
    Attending conferences, and talks, writing blogs, and papers.  
    Liaising with the Company’s current and potential clients. 
    Provide logistical support to the team as and when required. 
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 
    Essential: 
    A Postgraduate/ M.Phil. Degree from a relevant discipline.  
    At least 4 years of professional/research work experience in relevant fields.  
    Prior fieldwork experience is necessary. 
    Familiarity with one or more Indian languages. 
    Experience with qualitative research including ethnographic methods, PRA techniques, reflexive analysis, report writing, and other relevant methodologies.  
    Strong written and oral communication skills.  
    Desired: 
    Professional experience in M&E in project-based settings. 
    Some familiarity with quantitative research and mixed-method study design.  
    Knowledge of the development sector in India.  
    Strong management skills.  
    Ability to multi-task and take responsibility for the timely completion of activities.  
    Innovative and receptive to working on new ideas and proposals.  
    Strong Microsoft skills (Word and Excel).  
    Experience working with national/international NGOs, UN bodies, governments, and start-ups will be valued.

  • Quantitative Researcher

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Reporting and working closely with the team at Outline India, the quantitative researcher will be engaging primarily in enforcing quantitative methodologies and implementing survey tools on digital platforms, training field teams, and ensuring field surveys are planned and implemented in a structured manner.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Data checks and analysis Management and monitoring of datasets on a regular basis. Oversee daily data collection activities and ensure adherence to data quality protocols.

    ● Data cleaning.

    ● Quantitative analysis and visualization using STATA/R.

    ● Assist in writing reports.

    Proposal

    ● Secondary research and sampling for proposals.

    ● Planning and budgeting for field surveys.

    ● Prepare budget for the new contracts.

    Fieldwork planning and execution

    ● Developing, coding, and deploying survey tools using CAPI programs like Survey CTO.

    ● Review of survey tools received from clients and translation of the same.

    ● Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team.

    -Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork (on hold during covid19).

    -Training field team on the usage of CAPI on tablets (virtual during covid19).

    ● Coordination with the field team to ensure quality data checks.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    Essential:

    ● Strong knowledge of quantitative methods of data collection and the ability to analyze data.

    ● Experience in working with STATA is mandatory.

    - Familiarity with other Quantitative software packages will be good (e.g. STATA/SPSS/Python/ R).

    ● Master's Degree in Economics or a related field.

    ● Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of any other regional language will be valuable).

    ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Desired:

    ● 2+ years of experience in quantitative studies.

    ● Experience in the development sector.

    ● Candidates having prior fieldwork experience will be given preference.

    ● Professional experience in M&E in project-based settings.

    ● Experience in working with National/ International NGOs/ UN Bodies/Government/start-ups will be valued.

  • Senior/Associate Project Manager

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Project Manager will plan, design, conduct and manage research projects and ensure high-quality deliverables. We are looking for someone from an A grade institution such as Delhi School of Economics, Gokhle, IIFT, XLRI, ISB, ISI,  IIT (B.Tech/ M.Tech) or reputable institures abroad experience with the Big 4.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Proposal writing

    • manage research projects, which involve the use of quantitative and/or qualitative methods

    • Planning, budgeting and allocating resources for an entire project

    • Designing questionnaires and interview guides

    • Analysing evaluating and interpreting data, while making sure that key issues are identified

    • Mentoring and guiding researchers in research projects and ensure timely delivery and quality of all deliverables

    • Handling/leading client meetings, presentations

    • Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork

    • Managing and monitoring of datasets on a regular basis

    • Assist in writing reports.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    • Economics/ Statistics or a B.tech/Mtech degree from TISS, XLRI, DSE, IIFT or IIT/IIM respectively and preferably from a consulting organisation like BCG, Bain & CO., Deloitte, KPMG, Sattva, Sambodhi.

    • Research experience working in organizations such as 3tier, JPAL, Tata Trusts, Bridgespan Fund, or research experience at IIT/IIM/ISB/TISS will be given additional weightage. 

    • Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    • Strong Microsoft Excel, and presentation skills

    • Demonstrate knowledge of the development sector in India

    • Have and help build a network to loop in experts, advisors, other consultants

    • Strong management skills, ability to multi task and take responsibility for the timely completion of projects

    Note: This is a senior level position requiring an experienced candidate in the development sector. Fresh graduates and candidates with 5-10 years of exposure will not be suitable.

  • Sr. Partnerships and Communications Associate

    The Communications/Partnership Associate will engage in expanding Outline India’s reach. We are looking for someone who has prior experience in developing a company’s outreach strategy and is interested in working with a growing social enterprise, along with the Communications and Partnership role.


    RESPONSIBILITIES


    Partnerships:


    · Develop and implement strategies to create new partnerships with development organizations, donors, NGOs, and academic institutions.

    · Identify and initiate partnerships that align with Outline India’s core values and business goals.

    · Maintain and grow relationships with existing partners, ensuring continuous engagement and communication.

    · Assist in writing partnership proposals, MOUs, and grant applications.

    · Lesioning with authorities both at local and pan India level

    · Ensuring smooth documentation and transition of approvals/permissions

    · Client acquisition and onboarding and documentation

    · Research and identify potential collaboration opportunities for projects and programs.

    · Coordinate partnership meetings and follow up with stakeholders as required.


    Communications:


    · Develop and execute Outline India’s communications plan, including social media strategies, newsletters, blogs, and media engagement.

    · Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, and success stories to highlight project outcomes and company achievements.

    · Manage internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with the company’s vision and goals.

    · Oversee the production of marketing materials, presentations, and company brochures.

    · Organize webinars, conferences, and speaking engagements to enhance brand visibility.

    · Draft Proposals and follow up mails for client engagements.


    Outreach and Marketing:


    · Plan and coordinate outreach campaigns to increase visibility among key stakeholders, policymakers, and the media.

    · Track and measure the performance of digital campaigns, creatives, using insights to optimize outreach strategies.

    · Good knowledge of content management and quality checks

    · Manage the company’s mailing list, ensuring it is regularly updated and segmented for targeted outreach.

    · Collaborate with graphic designers to create visually compelling content for social media, newsletters, and presentations.


    Stakeholder engagement:

    · Maintain regular communication with current clients and donors, keeping them informed of project progress and updates.

    · Represent Outline India at networking events, conferences, and forums to expand the organization's network.

    · Assist in organizing partnership events, workshops, and conferences with key stakeholders.

    · Report preparation and data analysis for optimum output

    · Data checks and quality assurance on large - scale database


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


    · Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications

    · Work Experience minimum 6-8 years in the capacity of communication and partnership role

    · Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

    · Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally

    · Excellent organizational and planning skills

    · Superior project management and time management skills

    · A wide degree of creativity and latitude

    · Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media

    · Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
